Electrical Management Systems

It’s been a few weeks since I finished my new electrical system install which included some expensive electrical equipment (not to mention our televisions, microwaves, stereo systems, etc). It occurred to me that I better protect my investment, so last week I ordered a Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C 30 Amp Hardwired EMS with Remote Display and installed it today. It includes protection for high/low voltage, surges, reverse polarity, accidental 240-volt protection, AC frequency protection and others. I like that it is mounted inside the trailer and has a remote display that scrolls through the AC power information. It was easy to install.

I am just curious, are those of you that are installing expensive new electrical systems putting in electrical management/protection devices too?

I have the same model as you. I'm pleased with its performance so far. We're currently moochdocking at my in-laws, and the outside outlet is on the same circuit as the master bath. Whenever my MIL uses the hairdryer at the same time as we have our electric heater running, the EMS senses the voltage drop and cuts off our power before the circuit breaker trips.

I haven't heard that term before, but it's perfect!
