Correct battery charge set up
2019 Sport 22 parked at home and always plugged into to 30 amp shore. Batteries directly connected to portable solar and battery switch in Store mode. Belief is that batteries only receiving solar charge, nada from converter. Correct?

I believe that is the case with your new AS.
?? Why are you plugged into SP in store mode ??
Our Classic did charge in store mode...until I Installed a direct battery disconnect switch.

Plugged in so when we are in the AS at home we can run 110 without having to plug in first. Also step light on so we can see at night.

Most "new" Airstreams charge the battery even when the switch is in store mode. I'm not sure about the Sport models, you can leave it plugged in, in use mode, check the voltage at the battery, then switch to store mode, and check again.

Well, since I have solar connected always then there might not be a charge difference. Guess I could disconnect solar and then run test

You could check the battery voltage at night.
In storage, my battery voltage fluctuates, but never over 12.7v. If I were to plug into SP it would definitely be above that reading.

I believe the 2019s have a multistage converter...if that is the case you can leave it plugged in all the time at no peril. We switched out our old style single stage converter to multistage a couple of years back and it's been plugged in every since. The multistage converter protects the batteries for overcharging. We have solar, as well but because it's in covered storage at home (no sun ever hits it) we do't rely on that for anything while not traveling. We have have it in "use" mode all the time...with the the fridge, fridge fan, and small draw items on. Since we are in AZ we have it set to go on when it hits 85 so not nothing "melts" and the furnace is set to 40 so we don't even get close to your occasionally freezing point. (We don't winterize.) It's a happy set up.

Tested and found that when on shore power and in store mode the converter does not charge battery. That’s how I want it anyway as at home I use portable solar. Good to know converter is safe anyway

I was looking into the settings for the converter in my ‘19 Sport 22 as well. Can’t find info on whether the 3 stage is adjustable for different battery types. I switched from stock to AGM, and will go lithium when I get roof mounted solar later this year.
Have you found out anything about settings, or is it just a set rate for the three stages??

Your OEM unit may be 3 stage but it isn't adjustable.
It will work with Lithium batteries, but they would work more efficiently with a converter set to the Lithium specs.
Ours is set at 14.4v.
We kept our system KISS with a ZAMP portable.
No roof climbing for poop cleaning, (too old for that crap), easy to keep in the sun.

Bob, I have a 140w portable now, and am looking to expand to ensure I have plenty of power for extended boondocking. Current plan is for ~200+ Ah lithium, I have a single AGM that provides ~60 usable now. I also need to find a way to lighten the tongue weight some, and going lithium under the bed will help.
If I get 250-300w up top, and my 140 portable, should be enough to keep the battery topped off most days. Adding the MPPT and an inverter was enough $, was hoping to avoid the extra 1k for the combo unit.

Make a test run...
...get an idea of what you need and balance it against what you want.
My recommendation, install the Lithiums first...last August we went 12 days without starting the Honda using our two 11yr old 100a Lifeline AGM's and the ZAMP.
Full sun to partly cloudy.
