Clarification on Interstate Battery Warranty

Went to replace my Interstate batteries last week in our 2017 25' FC and Interstate said that they are past the 1 yr warranty so the warranty no longer applies. This contradicts what the tech at JC told me that same today that the warranty starts the day we purchased our trailer, which was Nov 2017. The batteries were dated Jan 2017. Wrong info!! Interstate goes by the 3 digit code etched in the top corner where A17 corresponds to Jan 2017. The Interstate dealer in Victoria Texas still replaced them at no charge (great customer service) but could of easily said no. He saved us a huge hassle between the AS Dealer and JC. Buyer beware!! Check the etched date on your batteries ( not the litte round tab date). Hope this helps.

sounds like the dealer took care of you as they should. The batteries were quite old when you bought the unit. I bet they were left uncharged for long periods and before you came to pick up unit they put on a charger, or if it was plugged in the whole time the single stage charger overcharge them and boiled the water out creating TOAST.
