Charge Wizard Question

I have an inteli-power 9145 with a charge wizard. Today, I installed an exide megacycle agm battery. The charge wizard is blinking rapidly--a couple of times per second; however, the charge wizard instructions don't indicate any mode with that rapid of blinking. Is this normal or could it be an indication of a problem?

I believe the rapid blinking is the boost mode, and the slower blink is the normal mode. Check intellipower's website, if you did not get an installation/operation manual with the unit it is available as a download. I can dig up my papaerwork if you can't find it on your own. Good luck, George.

Rapid blink is the normal mode 13.6 volts. Should be about once per second but doubt they are that accurate in timing. Some blink faster than others I've noticed.
Solid light is the boost mode 14.4 volts.
Slow blink is the storage mode 13.2 volts.
Measure the voltage and I would expect 13.6 +- .3 volts when it blinks fast. If so its probably fine.
If the voltage on your new battery was low when you connected, it should go to boost. Sometimes you have to force it with the CW button but be careful not to use boost manually unless you know the battery can take 14.4 for 4 hours as this could cause the battery to lose too much water. Automatic mode is best except in situations when you know your batteries need 4 hours of boost.
