Battery Voltage

I have a 12 volt battery that when I put it on the charger at normal reconditioned at 0,3 amp charge. It goes through the steps all the way to storage mode. It is a IP65 12/15 charger. When I first unplug it registers 12. 4 volts with the multimeter. Then immediately starts dropping off to 11.67 volts. This battery was discharged to 11.56 volts before I put it on the charger at the normal reconditioned mode. I hooked it back up and selected normal mode and will let it go through that and check again. Can anyone give me your thinking on the condition of the battery?

A battery that won't hold a charge is defective and will need to be replaced.

If there is no load on the battery and the voltage is dropping as you indicated, it is time for a new battery(s). You can always pull the battery and take it to a shop and have them test it.

Junk.
Replace it, and keep the new one fully charged. Always.

Reply to battery issue

Thanks folks for your thinking on this issue. I believe I can agree. It probably has a bad cell I am thinking. The battery is 6 months old and is a interstate battery . I have had good luck with them in my boats and other equipment. No issues keeping them charged as they are on a constant battery minders and chargers. First one I have had issues with in years. This why it surprised me.
