I know the battery location for my 71 Overlander is inside the rear hatch but where is it supposed to be located. I am sure someone has a 70's Overlander they can take a picture of so I can see how mine is supposed to look back there. I am putting the bathroom back together and this is one item that was just rattleing around in the back.
I have attached pictures of the battery, battery stand and the vent adapter I made for the battery box. Am I right on which way the battery stand is supposed to face (tray to the rear) or am I backwards in my thinking.
Here's what we have (we don't really have a "box" for ours)...it appears that ours "faces" the opening of the access door (which would make sense since you'd need access to check the water levels).
That sure answers alot of questions - thanks. I just put the battery box in and came up with the vent system. My stand - I think it is original - is different. It is flush on one side and has a tray on the other. I guess the tray is for the water lines to run over. It stands about 3 inches tall for the drain lines to go under. I will take some pictures and post it today. That way either others can see how it is built or I will know if it is not original. Thanks Shawn
Here is pictures of the stand - I do not know which way it is supposed to face. I think the 3rd picture is the right way it seems to sit flatter. Sorry about the 3rd picture being blurry.
