Battery Isolation Switch

Hi all, I recently purchased a battery isolation switch to install on the battery box of my 2019 16' Bambi Sport. It seems like a fairly straight forward install but I've run into an issue that has me stumped.

The connection posts on the switch I bought are 5/16" but the terminal end on the negative lead heading back to the AS is 3/8" (see photos). So my question is how do I make the connection to the switch post with the negative terminal going back to the AS?

Cut the pos wire on the right battery and put your switch there with the correct size copper lugs crimped on the ends.
You also have the option of installing the switch inside the AS out of the weather.

OK Bob, I'll bite. Why two switches? Solar disconnect?

I made my own cables. Yes I ran into that same issue so I had to source ring terminals to fit.
If you don't love diddling, a battery store might be able to make cables for you, or a online supply house (like for boats).
The easy, but incorrect method is to just use 3/8" terminals, and forget about it. In for a penny, in for a pound.
Here's my battery disconnect.

Thanks Mollysdad for your approach to hooking up your battery disconnect. I can get a premade 4G cable that has one end with a 3/8" ring terminal and one end with a 5/16" ring terminal that I can use to connect the disconnect switch to the negative terminal on the battery. Now I need to change the 3/8" ring terminal on the wire that goes into the AS to 5/16" and then I can complete the hook up of the disconnect switch.
But not having a lot of experience with AS/battery work, can I simply cut off the 3/8" ring terminal and replace it with a 5/16" ring terminal on the wire going back to the AS?

"Battery" is the OEM battery use/store...which can't make up it's mind what to do.

"On/Off" takes the battery completely out of the system, an absolute no parasitic draw option. 👍

Battery Isolation Switch

Like this one I installed recently. Cuts off all connections to the positive side of the battery. An 80 amp MRBF fuse is at the positive battery post for cable protection.

From BlueSea Systems and a modified cover from the big box home improvement store. Yes, I drilled a few holes. What of it?
