Bad PROGRESSIVE DYNAMICS INTELI POWER 45A

I bought a PROGRESSIVE DYNAMICS INTELI POWER 45W inverter a year and half ago and I believe it is going out on me, The symtons are the 12v system works fine while the AS is pluged into shore power but once the AS is unpluged from shore power the 12v system quits working. I had the RV battery checked and it is fully charged. Even the wizzard changes from solid green to blinking as the battery nears fully charge mode. Does any body know if there is a relay inside this inverter that closes and allows the 12v system to engage once the shore power is disconneted? If it is a relay for this function I belive it's toast. Any help or discussion on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Eddie

Once the shore power is dropped the converter powers off.
The battery should be connected directly to the 12 volt distribution panel and not to the converter. You should be able to diagnose the problem with a volt meter. A bad ground connection might be the problem.

Actualy the positive side of the converter apears to be connected to both the positive side of the battery and the the positive side of the 12v distribution panel. Do you think the bad ground is the grounding of the inverter or the ground on the battery? Also this might help too. Everything worked fine until yesterday when I was using my power lift to level the trailer. All fuses I can see are ok too. I did a visual on the fuses and checked them with my OHM meter.

Thanks,
Eddie

Your 12 volt panel should be setup like the picture below. The two lines from the converter connect to the back of the panel.

Richard, the proper ground for the distribution panel was the problem. I just tighten the screws that hold the power panel down and the 12v system started working with the trailer unplugged from the house. Thanks so much for the assistance you contributed on this problem. This forum and all the members are a wealth of information. -Eddie
