300Ah Small-Volume LiFePO4 Lithium Battery

I know there are countless posts about battery setups, and it’s true—there's no one-size-fits-all solution. Everyone has different power needs based on how they use their space.

I’m excited to share that I managed to fit 300Ah of battery capacity into my 16-foot trailer, using some basically unused space! It fits perfectly under the curbside front bench behind the large pull-out drawer. I found this NewtiPower 12V 300Ah Small-Volume LiFePO4 Lithium Battery on Amazon for $560.

https://www.amazon.com/LiFePO4-Newti.../dp/B0BXSSHW5V

I’m eager to see how it holds up over time, but I can’t wait to get it hooked up to replace the 100Ah lithium battery in the tongue battery box.

Here are some pics of the fit. I'll get to wiring it in soon and strap it down to the leg of the bench.

Following with great interest! I also have 100Ah of lithium on the tongue and have thought about something like this often. Thanks.

Interesting, with the compact size this could replace the two 100 AH batteries in the battery box and give me an extra 100AH of power.

A 300ah li-ion battery should yield more than triple the reserve capacity of the 2 x Grp 24 lead acid batteries usually found in the battery box. Sounds like you already have an upgrade over Grp 24 lead acid, though.

This battery may or may not be suitable for installation in the battery box. It does not seem to have a weather/waterproof rating. And it does not seem to have self-heating for cold-weather use.

The Epoch 300ah is essentially the same dimensions and has a waterproof rating as well as self-heating.

I saw the 300ah battery here at the International Rally. It fits in the battery box. I will get a Pic of it this afternoon and post. Think it's $900?? I will double check also specs.

The Epoch is water proof, and has heater. 300AH; 12V. BMS and all controls via bluetooth on your phone. A bit pricy, but nice that it fits in front AS battery box. Sorry it showed up sideways....but here is the picture I mentioned.

Thanks for sharing. That Epoch 300ah looks like a great solution to drop in the battery box to keep things simple.

Has anybody done that and have a picture of the install?

Thanks!

We’ve been having an ongoing discussion about that battery (and related topics) in another thread, including input from some owners who have installed it:
