2014 Classic Converter Recommendation
We have new to us (firstime AS owners) 14' Classic 27FB. Coming from Arctic Fox 5th wheel with 800w of solar, (4) BB batteries and Victron 3K inverter...fulltime 4 years now. Bought the AS for Alaska trip to try an AS as we've always wanted to try ..
Not wanting to go wild but it needs batteries now and think the stock converter is likely crap and at minimum not lithium compatible. Wanting to get it setup for Alaska trip this summer but nothing crazy. A couple good batteries, new converter that can charge them correctly ... have Honda 2200 gen to use as needed. Has OEM GoPower Solar 2-panel setup, 1K inverter ... may buy a portable for trip but not expecting tons of sun in Alaska.
I may want to go with (2) BB lith batteries ... or not. Not excited about spending another 2K on batteries for something we may sell in the not so distant future.
What would be a good converter to upgrade to? Relatively simple install? Anything else or "gotchas" I need to know about regarding the electrical system on our AS?
