2007 27' International Battery Upgrade

MY AS has the original two flooded lead acid battery setup. Previous owner bought a single new AGM with the intention of replacing but sold before making the switch. Making the switch will require modifying the battery compartment by relocating the center threaded lockdown bolt. My question is...There appears to be sufficient room to install two AGM batteries. Is two batteries better and can the AGM batteries be installed in series similar to the flooded acid batteries?

Two are always better than one. They also can be installed in series. Just make sure they're 6 volts rather than 12 if you're doing that. Why not install 2 12volt batteries in parallel?
