12 volt lights

I just got my 75 Argosy and today I checked the electrical. The 110 volt shore power is working (the AC turns on).
I have no lights though. The Univolt is in place and pluged up.....the fuses are good and the breakers are on.

We're going to need more info. Are the 12 volt systems operating when plugged into the TV? Is the refer working? Will the running lights work when not hooked to the TV?

The interior was missing when I bought the trailer, there is nothing in the trailer at all except for the two interior ceiling lights and the light in the bathroom. The Univolt is hooked up and appears to be hooked up completely.

I beleive the running lights, blinkers and brake lights all work, but I beleive thats a seperate system.

Barring an accidental short, the running lights have no connection to the internal 12v circuits.

I think it is voltmeter time. Check for 12v at the wire where the Univolt connects to the fuse panel. If there is no 12v there, the Univolt has presumbly failed or has no 120v input.

A working Univolt will hum. If it is completely silent, it has failed or is not getting 120v. Check for 120v at the outlet; a 120v fuse may have blown.

It could be the battery itself. One way to check this in to jump the umbilical to the connections on either side of the key lug. If the running light do not come on, there is a problem with the battery.
