Valence u27 -12xp lithium for solar?

I have an option to get some used valence u27-12xp lithium batteries with 135amp hour capacity each for $375 a piece. They’ve been cycled about 330 times out of 4000. So about 80% new. Anyone know if these are a good choice to use in our airstream with solar? I can get more if anyone else was interested and lived near Rhode Island.

Yeah I saw the video Will did on Valence lithium batteries which was very informative and that got me looking for them. I ended up finding a person nearby me who had about 32 of Valence u27’s. Not the smaller ones Will are talking about (40ah)in his videos but same brand but these are 138ah.

I wouldn't hesitate to get those batteries and run them. I almost bought the 40ah batteries several times before Will made that video and now they are usually priced too for my liking. Still kicking myself...

Did you ever end up getting the valence u27-12xp lithium batteries? I just purchased two to replace my interstate factory installed lead acids. Just wondering if I can use the charger that came in the airstream.

Do they include the BMS? Do not charge a lithium battery without BMS, you also must make sure to use some caution before connecting in series or parallel, as any voltage/SOC differential could make for some exciting testing of your wiring.

You will need to find spec sheets for charging them and find a charger/converter that outputs that voltage.

If I was charging them it would be with a lithium specific charger, either from solar or 120v but a specific Li charge profile.

Thanks for the advice. I found the perfect replacement for the Parallax 555 50amp service I currently have. It’s the Progressive Dynamics PD4560LIK18LS8, which is made specifically for charging lithium. Amazing how inexpensive it was, and reading up on this forum, sounds like a relatively easy install.
