two different batt types- Possible simultaneous usage?

i have the Lead acid batt that came with the 22FB
over the winter i want to get a lithium battery

my current PD converter does NOT support lithium.

i might replace it or get a new converter that supports lithium
if i do the later. can i use both batteries at the same time?
ie the old converter charges the lead acid
the new converter charges the lithium.

if i do that, can the two battery both drive the 12 V system or or do all batteries need to b of the same type?

if i can use the different types, how do i do that?

Simple answer no.

More detailed answer:

Lithiums and lead acid's are very different batteries. You have to keep them completely isolated from each other. You can not charge them from the same charger (run them in parallel). If you try to power a load off of both of them, only one battery type will supply the entire load current.

This even extends to chargers. A charger that "can do both" likely does both poorly. The firmware in the charger needs to be aligned with the battery type. Most chargers have a really hard time with this. They either do one or the other well and the alternate poorly.
