Tri Fuel Conversion
Decided on the Honda EU2000 and would like to install a kit that allows propane and gasoline, and saw the tri fuel kit from US Carburetion. Plan on using the quick hookup to the trailer's propane, so I would need to purchase hose to accomplish this. Opinions on the US Carburetor tri fuel setup, how long hose are you using, and where to purchase.
thanks again

We used the GenConnex propane only conversion as it is entirely inside the original plastic cover and not subject to damage. They are available on line. The first one took me about 1:15 and the second one about 0:45. We really like the convenience and safety of not carrying a gasoline can inside the Mercedes when towing our 23D.

I used Century Fuel Products
Installed their Tri Fuel kit in about 1:15. A second one would go quicker for sure. I have a six foot hose connected to a stand-alone LP cylinder.

I have the tri fuel conversion from US Carb. Have had it for over a year. Works great
I bought the kit and did the conversion myself.

I am planning the same conversion on our 2000's. I weighed the tri-fuel option and think that since I already bring two 30 pound tanks to the campsite (attached to our trailer) and have a few 20 pound tanks around at home for the grill and such that just going with propane is the better option.

For me, the benefit of tri-fuel is that if we have an extended power outage, particularly in the summer, I can live in the AS in my garage with full power provided by the Honda running on natural gas.

Is it reasonable to switch back and forth between the GenConnex propane-only conversion and the original gasoline option, if needed? Or does the conversion require a change that renders it a permanent conversion/installation? Thanks, Rich

That makes complete sense - at my home I have no access to natural gas.

I have watched a bunch of videos and read the manual and I am pretty sure you only take off and put on - nothing has to be modified that would make it so you can't reverse the process.

US Carb conversion on my Yamaha. I am very methodical so it took me a couple of phone calls and about an hour to do the conversion. While I do not plan on running the generator on gas it is nice to know I easily can without having to remove the unit.

If one saves the take-off parts and purchases a Honda gasket set, one could convert the GenConnex back to gasoline. The whole propane conversion assembly being inside the stock Honda enclosure protects the conversion as contrasted to the units where most of the parts are external.
