Solar trickle charge

I am a total novice with solar and looking for some guidance. Camping World has a trickle charge solar charger, Nature Power 7.5 Watt Solar Battery Trickle Charger on sale for $49.98. Any thoughts on if this is a good charger for my 2016 23 FB, with two 12 volt batteries, mostly to use when its in storage. Also wondering if I got one with more watt output if I could use it sometimes when dry docking for a few days.

Thanks,
Bruce

The .6amps is too low to be an effective trickle charger since the parasitic draw is almost that amount. It will not charge the batteries, 25 watts is about the lowest you should have for two hooked up 12volt batteries.

To boondock 100w is the lowest you can go during the summer, 200w would be better.

I used a 10w Battery Tender Solar panel to keep a pair of 6v golf cart batteries topped off before I switched to Lithium. It was only getting a couple of hours of sun a day if that. It worked great. I’d do it again. You would need a battery disconnect though. The trailer will, as mentioned, still draw down the battery even when in store mode.

It’s not designed to be a power source while boondocking. For that you’d need something like the Renogy 100w panels.
