That said, fuses (specifically a fuse in the box on the roof) have been mentioned much earlier in this thread.

Additionally no where was an in line fuse prior to the roof top junction box mentioned. My new panels have an inline fuse very close to the panel. Depending on how they are mounted they could be very difficult to notice if one wasn’t specifically looking.
So sorry Bob but I wasn’t just parroting your post about a fuse in the roof box but just trying to point out one more simple explanation rather then jump straight into persecuting the installer and manufacturer.

Hi
Well, the stock box used by Airstream for their pre-wires normally *does* have a fuse in the box on the roof .....

Sure. So why would you be dismissive about me pointing out an additional possibility?

Hey. OP here. Realized I never circled back to tell everyone the verdict! Dealer fixed the issue and said it was indeed an MC4 cable on the roof not fully seated, as I had suspected myself towards the end of my investigation.
System fully functional now. In fact, tried it a few times before shipping my AS to storage for the winter. Charged the batteries very well despite the low Fall sun. Not crazy about the fact it seems to be a tier B system as evidenced by support/info available but given how well it works now that it’s properly set up, I will tough it out.
Thanks all for the help provided. As a newbie, your advice helped me learn a ton.

Hey GMFL. Am finally about to install this switch between my panels and controller (after having carefully covered both panels so they don’t generate as I do that). Question, I put it on the positive or negative? Tx.

SNIP <Quote>"Only anomaly I as a newbie was able to pickup is that the green negative wire from the solar panel seemed connected to the positive terminal of the controller."
"Scoured the manual and I cannot find a solution. My portable Zamp panel connected to the Zamp outlet worked fine, but not the fixed panels, even when the portable panels were disconnected"
Could that be because the Zamp connector AS uses.
Zamp panels are reverse wired.🤓
