Solar help for a newbie

Greetings fellow streamers,
I replaced my 2 lead acid batteries with two 100 amp lithium batteries and converter about a year ago which was a great upgrade. I’m looking at purchasing a 220 W portable Renogy solar panel to charge my Eco flow portable generator but also would like to charge the Lithium Batteries on our 2017 Airstream as a back up source of energy. I’m wanting to know what controller I would need and if it’s something that a carpenter could install I’ve been happy with the Victron battery monitor and app . I’m leaning towards their product and was going to reach out to them as well but wanted to get the advice of those who know a lot more about solar than me
As always, thanks again to anyone who can offer advice to a newbie

This guy guided me through my solar set up. Everything works great. Give Dillon a call. He used to work for AmSolar at the time he helped me. He now is Superstition solar. https://www.superstitionsolar.com/. He will set you up.

I have 500 wats if solar on roof and 300amp life blue battery and all the parts that make it work. I can’t recommend Dillon Morrison enough !

Tell him Scott sent you

I have the Renogy 220 w. panels (2) for a solar project I'm into. With 2 panels in series I chose the Victron 100/50.
Probably overkill, but the 100/30 was right on the limit, I believe.

However the Renogy 220 w. panel also comes with a version that includes their controller and all the cables (minus an extension) that allow you to clip straight to the batteries. You could also adapt the cable to whatever plug your solar generator needs. Amazon has all the stuff, and one of my panels came from "Amazon Resale" which seems to be returns for a discount. I paid $215 for the suitcase with controller and it looked brand new. Their low end 'Voyager' controller is not an MPPT, so you may want to upgrade but it's an option.
I chose the 220 w. (perhaps you did too) because it only weighs 15 pounds but still has an aluminum frame. My flow goes PV panel>DC Breaker>Victron 100/50>Blue Seas on/off switch>Fuse>Batteries. I'll have a dongle in the battery box that's an Anderson connector.

There's a lot of folks here that know a lot (not me) but Uncle Bob and others will opine on what you need and don't. If feels like solar is new enough that there's multiple ways to achieve the goal.

BTW, the price for Renogy panels varies day by day on Amazon.

Just a bit different...

We have two Zamp 180w panels, (built-in controllers), charging directly thru the 7-pin. 2 100a BB's, Victron 700.
