I have a 2011 22' Sport FB. Plan to install 200w on the roof. It's October here and the weather is turning...so these will go on in the spring. Pictured are two HQST 100w mono panels. They're smaller than most 36"x26." They are presently priced at $80 each.
I'm just dry fitting them today. Need to either modify the existing outside brackets or fabricate some new ones. See that some commercially available tapered ones may be available from Zamp. We'll see what is the easiest.
Regarding the 3" gap in the center due to the brackets butting into each other, I'm considering either offsetting them or fabricating a mounting rail so the panels have about 1/2" gap. If I offset the brackets, then will be difficult to caulk around them. The bracket I envision, would be fixed to the roof with adhesive tape and then bolted to the panels.
