Solar ends at 12v card

Bought trailer used.2016 27’ international . Solar comes off roof, thru fridge vent bypasses water pump, continues under floor and pops up at the power center. Someone connected the solar wires to the 12v distribution card . Positive to the big red +cable on the top left of the card and the negative solar wire to where the big white wire clamps on to the card on the top right. The solar works well but I expected solar wires to go direct to battery’s. Is this ok?

As long as the solar controllers output is tied into the DC system technically it will charge the batteries. Now with that said there can be inefficiency's in the system wired that way.
