Questions about Yamaha ef2400ishc

Hello,
I'm new to this fourm, I don't own a AS however, I do own a work and play by forest river. I am impressed with the knowledge that I have seen on this fourm and wanted to tap into it if you don't mind.

I am looking for a lighter generator as I currently have a Honda eu3000. I would like to get your input on two things.

First is the Yamaha ef2400is made in Japan or China? I called Yamaha and they did not know. They told me that they think it is made in Japan but they did not know for sure.

Second thing has anybody checked the cleanliness of the power on the Yamaha generators under a load? I'm wondering if there's pwm noise on the sine wave under load. My plan is to hook it into an Outback power gvfx3524 and have to have a clean sign wave.

Thank you for your time.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but I'm wondering why you care about the cleanliness of the Yamaha generator if you're planning on using an Outback inverter which produces a sinewave? Perhaps you can describe your configuration in a bit more detail, including your battery setup and expected load so we can see what you're intending to do?

Thanks for replying to me. The generator will only be used with the Outback power inverter at home as a backup on cloudy days. The rest of the time it will be used to run the AC in the TT. Because the Outback inverter is a grid tie unit it will only accept very clean power for battery charging. However, I know the honda will work so it is not super important. More or less if someone happens to know that would be nice.

As far as where the generator is made, I know the EF2000isv2 is made in china now and I'm wondering if the same is true for the EF2400ishc. If it is made in Japan I would feel a little better about the $1300.

Thanks

OK, I understand better. The Yamaha EF2000iSv2 appears to have an updated inverter. Seems like it should work fine:

The Yamaha EF2000iSv2 Inverter generator supplies clean, high quality power. The EF2000iSV2 – with its inverter system – features Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) so voltage stability is within ± 1%, and frequency stability is ± 0.1 HZ. Its pure sine wave is as clean as or cleaner than public utilities power.
