My EU2000i & gas can & boondocking

Boondocked for 4 days last week using my EU2000 and external gas can hookup. It worked out great. Not one problem. However, we did not need to run the A/C but did need the furnace, microwave, tv, etc. Ran it almost all day and night since I only have one battery. Set it in the bed of my pickup parked behind the bedroom and could hardly hear it running. Could not be happier with it at this point. Still waiting for hot weather to determine if I need a second one.

Good deal! Still haven't finished my paralleling setup... gotta solder the connectors on the wire, but I made it long enough so there's space between the two for one of those gas cans.

When you put your generator in the back of your pickup bed, is your bed open?

I've been thinking about putting my generator in the back of my truck also, but I have a cap on it. I wasn't sure just how much ventilation would be needed under the cap -- there might be times when I wouldn't want to leave the tailgate down or a window open, but I suppose you'd need to have a certain amount of ventiillation.

Yes it was open. I don't have a cover on it. We were in a heck of a sand storm for 2 days and I mainly put in the truck to get it up off of the ground as well as out of sight.

Yes, but I'd have thought your two burglar alarms would have provided security over the generator!

The sand was blowing so bad I didn't want to leave them outside. My white Sheperd would not have been white anymore.
