Learned my lesson the hard way
After 6 days without electricity, I am now in the process of purchasing several small appliances that were fried when my bargain XG Inverter generator put out 190-200 volts. Thanks again China. Sal.

We have some friends who picked up a really nifty set of portable solar panels at Costco, I believe. Set them up in the sun and attach by cables to the battery.

Inexpensive and so far are working very well.
