Honda EU2000i Run Time

We will be running two Honda EU2000i, regular and companion with our 25' 2011 Silver. If we just run the 13,500 A/C at night, what length of run time can we expect on a tank of fuel in each generator?

Thanks, just looking for some answers from folks who have done this to get an idea as to when I will need to get up to fill the tanks.

Depending on how much the compressor runs, up to four hours.

This is one of the reasons we purchased the EU-3000IS.....
Quiet too and if you need more than the 3.4 gallons it is easily adaptable to run on an external fuel source. It is heavy though.... Choices, choices.

There are companies which make external fuel tanks for Honda Generators, and some with provisions for two generators from one tank. The tanks are generally 6 gal boat tanks with special adaptors for the generator gas cap.

You might Google Honda Generator gas tanks and see what comes up. I know they are popular.

I agree with Overlander63...depending on how much compressor time you have....about 4-5 hours with two full regular tanks...we just did this yesterday afternoon. We ran the AC from 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM...after 3 hours I filled them each a 2nd time and still had gas in them when I shut them down at 6:30.

I get at least 4 to 5 hours. As was mentioned above there are external fuel systems out there for honda. One site is Extended fuel systems/Generator Extender Fuel System -Dallas/Fortworth, TX.

If you have a portable boat gas tank you might be able to buy the connectors and hoses and make your own. I have not done it yet but am looking to do it if I can find the hoses etc.

Thanks for the info, we bought the two 2000 due to bad back and shoulder, simply could not handle the 3,500 and then be able to kayak etc while camping.

I did opt for the EU 3000 and I can still lift it. I know that someday I will need to re-think this....
At 50 I have already had a couple of "He-Man" moments that have resulted in injuries. I tread more cautiously now!
