Help withrrstarting Victron

I have 25 FC with lithium battleborn and Victron MPPT 150-30. Installed lastfall.

I have been boondocking for 3 days in my daughters driveway. I have the investor on each night to watch TV. Last night, all power shut off. I was not paying attention. Since installing the 2 Battleborn lithium batteries, I have always had sufficient power. But I was not running the investor very much.

I assume my batteries went too low, and the auto protection built into the Victron Smart controller kicked in. I hooked up my Honda 2200 generator, and started it, but the generator went up and almost off. It was not able to recharge.

How do I restart my system? I connected a 100’ 120v extension cord. Zip. I decided to pull the in line 30amp fuse and replace hoping it would reset. No change. My Victron bluetooth app shows the solar is generating power, but it is cloudy and rainy today. I went to the Manual on line, but does not say exactly how to restart.

It's Sunday and cannot reach the installer. I really want to watch the US Open Championship today!

Please help a old guy who is stumpted.

Need to plug into 120v shore power or get your generator running again.

Most dealers will give you an adapter so you can plug into a regular outlet in a residential home (vs RV park etc)

Need external power to charge the batteries if you don’t have solar.

With the size of your generator, you won't be able to charge your batteries and run A/C at the same time, if that is what you attempted. You'll have to turn your inverter off, so you're not charging while running the A/C.

low pressure Port

The main problem was the low pressure port. It was not providing enough gas for the Honda 2200.

Has anyone had an issue the supply from the front port?

Hi

The low pressure port is designed to feed a grill and not a generator. Most generators that have been converted to propane are set up for a high pressure feed. That's what comes from a bottle. Your grill outlet does not supply what the generator normally wants. Depending on exactly which conversion you have, various modifications may (or may not) let you run off the port. ( = there also is a propane volume restriction that varies between models and years ....).

Best bet: Grab a 20 lb "barbecue" LP tank and run off that.

Mine works fine if the low pressure port. Make sure you are using a straight gas line, not one with a secondary regulator….

Also make sure you close the little clamp… I forget to do that sometimes… that closes the valve on the fitting and prevents gas flow….
