Generators, AC & 50 amp

What size generator will I need to run 2 AC's on a 2015 27FB FC in the heat of summer in TX? Do generators come with a 50 amp receptical? What brand is recommended & why?

Thanks,

Glenn

50 amps @ 120VAC is 6000 watts.

Basically big, heavy power but if you need to run both air conditioners...

If you need 50 amps to run two air conditioners simultaneously, you probably are not a good candidate for boondocking. From a practical standpoint, I would concentrate on campgrounds with 50 amp hookups.

Alternately, you might consider camping where it's cooler (due to climate, season or altitude), where no air conditioning is needed. Or, if you can get by with the cooling power of only one unit, the usual generator setups will suffice.

Personally, I don't ever recall an AirForums discussion thread on 50 amp generators...
