Generator for Mobile Coffee Shop

Hello! I work for a specialty coffee roaster in Kansas City, MO. We have a 1978 Sovereign. We are looking for a generator that is fairly quiet and has low fumes. We are needing something in the 10000 to 15000 watt range. We take it to special events and serve coffee from it. I've attached a picture if you are curious!

Good question.
I think most people here have or are in need of a generator w/ a range between 1000 - 3500 watts. So there might not be many people w/ experience w/ or an opinion of a generator w/ that much capacity.
Would love to see interior photos of your sovereign.

Wow, that's the size nearing what is mounted onboard million-dollar coaches. At least 500-lbs for the main unit if diesel (prior to fuel tanks, plumbing, filters, pumps, exhaust & intake, etc). A big space/weight/balance problem.

Seems to me that, were I starting from scratch, that a PTO generator would be the way to go as to size & weight; where the TV engine is the generator power source.

Real Power - Features

There are plenty of us who would like a generator not only for the TT, but as an emergency/short-term power source for the house. We'll be interested in your approach and solution.

If you want low fumes, probably LP or Propane-powered would be the way to go. Unless you're a truck driver, diesel fumes and coffee are not a good mix. I'll look in my generator catalog when I get to work, and ask my boss to post my findings here for you.

I dont know of any genset that can put out the 10k to 15 k watts you desire. To get a genset that puts out that much and still can be hauled around I have not seen. About the 7500 is the largest I have seen thats portable.

Cool trailer! My daughter used to order coffee from you for her coffee bar and restaurant. Still does, I think. I'm drinking a cup of Holiday Blend as I type this. Great coffee.

Cool to think of... like Artstream, our mobile artist. Use a small commercial truck to pull, with a genny inside. Then the obligatory coffee roaster will fill the AIR at rallies. Side business of using coffee fumes to replace nitrogen in tires. We'll have everyone doing those trailer tours by 9:00 instead of the customary 1:00PM.

The largest LP genset our suppliers have available is 6500 watts.
There is a diesel genset that is 12,500 watts. I wouldn't want to carry or run a pair of them, though. It would, of course, double the diesel fumes.
They get progressively larger the more wattage you have. Possibly a pair of gensets that would power specific items in the trailer would be better, and keep size and weight to something reasonable would better suit your needs.
