I need advice on hauling my generator on my new 28' safari...can I add a platform to the rear bumper, or would it be better to pull a small trailor with it on it?...along with the gas can...what to do?

I have been told "never" put any extra weight on the bumper as it will cause seperation problems due to the construction of the Airstream.
I'm sure someone else can give you a better discription of the problems caused from the weight but I would recommend you don't carry it on the bumper.

You did not say what kind of generator you had, but if you are in a crunch for space, you could convert it to propane and run it off of one of the tanks on the front of the coach.

Has anyone built a box on the front of the trailer, behind the propane tanks, to store a honda generator?
