By itself, it should run everything but the AC. Reportedly with an "EasyStart" upgrade to the AC, you can run the AC with one if you shed all the other loads. If you parallel 2 of the EU2200i generators you can run anything you can run on a 30A shore power connection.

There are multiple generator threads on this forum. Recommend a few searches.

Gould2749, you canít beat the Honda for quality and performance. That said, youíd need two of the Hondas in parallel to get to 30A

Another option is a Champion like the 3400 Dual Fuel (connected to the Airstreamís low pressure propane port). It has a 30A receptacle and will run one AC without an EasyStart or two if they have EasyStarts.

The Campion weighs twice as much as one Honda so thatís a concern.

Good luck!
Jeff

Generator

Iíve found the Champion is not that hard to lift, and Iím no longer young by any means.
I just put it in the bed of the truck and leave it there during our trip. Open the tailgate to run it.

It easily pumps out 30 amps and just barely grunts in economy mode (low idle) when the air conditioning compressor starts, even without an EasyStart module. Iíll get to installing the EasyStart gadget eventually to better protect the compressor and reduce the start up surge.

We used it during a very warm trip last September and ran it only on propane from my add-on quick connect setup and generator propane hose setup changes to draw from the Airstream tanks and regulator. See the ďwhich generatorĒ thread for details and pictures.

The only slightly odd thing I noticed is that with the Champion running on propane you have to turn off the gas supply valve on the Airstream quick connection port to cleanly shut it down. I installed a valve there as an afterthought and Iím glad I did.

What is the propane consumption rate of the Champion dual fuel? Does it quickly diminish the AS supply? It seems it would be easier to go get more gas than propane for the AS.

I like the cleanliness and convenience of using onboard propane.

I donít know the exact consumption, but about 5.5 hours generator runtime maybe only took about 1/4 of a 20 pound propane tank. Iím not sure because I started with a partial tank and it didnít go down much.

I avoid the use of gasoline totally because when the Airstream is in storage I stash the generator inside it. Gas also stinks up the stuff in the truck, can spill, and does come with ethanol in it, and Iíd rather not have to clean the residue out of it.

Propane burns cleaner but does derate the generator output a bit. Itís not been an issue, even in the heat in Texas last fall.

We have a Honda 2200 with Hutch MTn propane conversion and Easy Start on the AC. No problem running the AC or microwave, but not at the same time. I hook it up to the propane fitting on the trailer and Iíve never put gas in it. It works great for us.
