Generator 12V Charge Ckt. Question?

Do the 12v charge Ckts. monitor and regulate down to a trickle ,or do they fry the batt. if you don't remove after 4-6 Hrs.? Yamaha and Honda info i find dosn't mention this. It just says you can charge batt.

It is unregulated. It will put out full voltage and amperage, it even says so on the label of our Honda.

Can you Regulate Charge to trickle/Maint. level or use something.Can yamaha reg/trickle chrg.?

If connected directly to the battery the genset is un-regulated, if connected thru the shore cord it is regulated by the TT's converter.

I use this to keep our 53 Ford battery charged while stored in Winter...
