Fixed and portable solar simultaneously

Hey all. New 2020 Bambi 22’ owner here. Got dealer-installed 2 ESP/Watt Mobile solar panels on the roof and MPPT controller. Can I add portable panels when using the Zamp Solar connector at the front of the Airstream? The portable kit I’m considering is the Zamp Solar USP1002 with built in controller. Any insight appreciated. Thanks.

The connector in the front goes directly to the battery. You can run a second controller (I do). It will feed the batteries fine when controllers are on bulk mode, but you may get one controller shutting down or going into a trickle as the other panels finish up charging. It will not hurt your batteries.

It does work though and is better than not having the portable panel.
