E-FOY 12V power supply?

Home | EFOY

Has anyone ever heard of this gadget?

It uses methanol and converts it into 12V power, carbon dioxide and water vapor.

Better than solar, no holes in the roof, works through the night, and it's silent!

Thoughts?

I was going to be the Mountain State region distributor for this product, however the fuel was and still is the down fall of this product for the cost of the unit and long term use. I am currently working with a company that has a unit that works off LP gas! Stay tuned...

I don't.

I saw it at a trade show ( marine), and l thought about uses other than marine ( cabins, RVing, camping.)

My neighbours airstream has 4 panels on the roof, and they do very little for him this time of year, when he uses the most power.

Looked like a cool product to me, I searched the forum to see if anyone had posted, and put it up.

I wrote about this in 2010. The bottom line in my blog remains the same today: unit cost and lack of a distribution network for the fuel are stopping this product from being practical in the US. Too bad, because it's an amazing product.

Thank you. Welcome to Airforums.com!

Please feel free to look around and join in on our discussions, we welcome strangers, since we were all one once.

Can you share with us if you are currently an Airstream owner, or are considering buying one?

We don't own yet.

Looking for a rear bed, 25' under 15K that's mint.

Not asking for much, are we?

Of course, that depends on your definition of "mint" and what year you are looking for. $15k will find you a nice trailer, given enough time and willingness to travel to get the one you want.

I really want to have a 34-footer, and I saw one at $16k in Florida that I really liked when we were down visiting my wife's sister and her husband. Only one problem: the DW wasn't interested to the same degree that I was.

Good luck with your search! At least you aren't too far from the US North West. I get the feeling that there are a lot of them in that area.
