Compressor not running AC - Easystart HELP
Just did an install for my easystart and I have a problem. Compressor won't start.
My 2019 classic has a purple wire running off the black run cap to the compressor. That wire is not shown in any of the diagrams I've seen. All show a red and a white wire. This may be the problem.
If anyone has some ideas, please let me know. I have it all apart and Micro air is closed.

Are you saying there is an extra wire or just one with a different color than you are expecting ? A photo or two might help tell how it is connected.

The start cap (small black one next to the large one) has three wires. Red white and purple. Purple goes into compressor.

I've got to get my terms down, but the two pieces that get removed in the instructions have this third extra wire. I removed it from the top of the cap, but it has nowhere to hook in the instructions. Just taped the end.

None of the diagrams have shown this wire. It must be new for 2019 and who knows what it does?

Use the Support Contact page for Micro Air and they will respond quickly. I had a problem and sent pictures of my wiring and the next morning Mateo had responded pointing to my problem. They were great! They followed up with a couple of other emails to make sure everything was working correctly. Great people.

Was told by someone here to connect purple wire to "c' terminal of the large silver cap.

I have three diagrams. The purple wire is not on any of them.
Everything runs except the compressor never comes on. There must be something different about this unit and that purple compressor line.

Interestingly Airstream has never given me schematics or even a manual for the air conditioner. Same with my last trailer.

Have you taken the AC shroud off an looked for mfgr schematic on unit?

I went to the Dometic site and I did find the model I have. It also has the schematic I've posted here. It HAS the purple wire!
Any Ideas?

I’m sure others will chime in too. I installed ONE easy start and IIRC followed their diagram. At start up it did not run on air cond.
I stripped wires off to match ES diagram, went back on dometic diagram and I had removed and not reconnected the reversing valve common wire which on your diagram is BLK or WHT/PRP.
Is your wire wht/prp or prp?

Purple. I was told by someone to hook the purple end to "C" on the run cap. Is that correct?

Purple to C on RUN looks right to me. Without that connection it the compressor should have run, but only if the thermostat was in heat mode and set for a temperature higher than ambient.
Hook it up, it doesn't look like it can hurt anything. C on all terminals is the white wire which is line neutral as best I can tell.

I have it on the "C" run cap but that does not allow the compressor to run.
I know that the Easy-start can be sensitive to low power, but I'm on 50 amp and shore power seems fine.
