How long did you wait? The EasyStart has a longer timeout than the AC did originally. 30 seconds, if I remember correctly.
And 30 seconds seems like an eternity when you are waiting for it to start.

Problem solved. Roger helped me work through this. The purple wire does go on the "C" of the run cap. It is used for the reversing valve and heat pump.
I took 5 picture of my install and sent to Roger. He found the problem instantly. So did I. I had the orange wire on the "C" when it should be on the "HERMS". Geeshhh! As soon as I looked at the picture I took, I saw it. Roger mailed me back with the same conclusion.
It now works.

Don’t beat yourself up, it’s easy to do. Don’t ask me how I know that.

Hi
Starting a few years back, AS stopped putting the manuals for the appliances in their manuals. Apparently keeping up with stuff like wire color changes was becoming a problem. You now get to have the fun of downloading all the manuals yourself. It's a fun way to spend a week or so .

Easy start?
Will someone please explain “easystart” with regards to the a/c units’ operation.
Do I have it? What does it do? Hardware or software requirements.
I have two a/c units atop my 2015 FC, 25’
Easystart is new to me!

An Easy Start is an electronic computer you install inside your AC. It allows you to run one AC off a generator with as low as 2000 watt output. It prevents the compressor from pulling a startup spike of 49 amps. It starts by first turning on the fan of the AC and then gradually starts the compressor pulling no more than 13 amps. Allows the generator to maintain running the AC without shutting down.

EasyStart Mfgr Kidos
The instructions I received with mine are woefully confusing, quite common. MicroAir was called, sent them pics of what I had and received an almost immediate callback. Walked through wire by wire and problem corrected. This is the best customer service I have received from an RV supplier. A/C works well with my Westinghouse iGen 2200 although I have to shut down several power hungry items while the A/C is used. I knew this going in because of a call to MicroAir before purchase. Don’t need now but will look into a second Westinghouse with a connector to run both when needed. Still cheaper than that red generator.
