If you look at the numbers, it is not that quiet. Honda 2200 at idle is 48 db the champin at idle is 59 db. It is a loud generator

Understood, but when it idles up to run both our ACs (2 in parallel with the easy starts), the 48 number increases.....we were going with the Honda before the deal came up even at $3400, so we'll give it a go and see where we land, if it doesn't work out, we will sell it and buy the Honda.

Since this is our first trailer, there will be some growing pains, I'm a Honda lover, but for now, we've gone down this road.

For Tennessee residents you will be charged tax per Newegg on the generator. As usual my lucky day.

I’m considering this deal but my problem is with the weight. I just bought a new f250 and the tailgate is so high. This generator at 95 lbs , how do you all get it in and out of your truck? Thanks

I have heard some store them on a sturdy bench they can back up to or Harbor Freight has a lifting table that would help raise it up and could possibly take it with you? My wife and I double team on the heavy stuff. Hope the helps or jump starts some ideas for you.

FYI Champion Support may still send you a high altitude jet without charge if you call them and request it. Good to have just in case. The #s on the little bubble wrap package show X001PK6BCB and Champion 73536i. Also a little hand written #100263. Last summer we plugged this Gen into the front LP port on the trailer and ran it all night for the AC near Hoover Dam (boondocking site) and it worked great.

Mine arrived today, 2 day shipping, in great condition.

Will probably give it a whirl this weekend.

The gen needs a 5 hour break in. I personally never put gas in mine. I just took off the high pressure regulator and connected it to he lower pressure port on the trailer.

On the lifting I can manage it myself. But feel better when the wife helps. You could use ramps. The gen has wheels. I saw a small crane that folds into the top of the wheel well on eBay. It looked like it would work.

Thanks for the ideas on lifting. I went to harbor freight and they sell the lift for around 100 bucks. It weighs 60 lbs. it’s just my wife and I, I’m 60yrs young with minor back and neck issues, I could lift it but I know I shouldn’t. My wife has a health issue and should not be lifting it, she could(help that is). I like this generator for all the reasons noted. I don’t like the Honda 2200 because of the cost after it’s converted to propane. Maybe ramps and drag it up? Maybe just use it on the tailgate of truck? I don’t know. Sure is a good deal. I will go back to Gander outdoors and try lifting it. Thanks

I bought one of these when the original sale was going on. The purchase was a little premature because I'm still remodeling my trailer so I haven't had a chance to use it. In any event, I do have a question about the unit. Champion sells a version of this generator with a key fob for starting the unit remotely (up to 80 ft). Does anyone know if you can add the remote start capability to this unit?
