I have been a camp host at Tortilla Campground, Tonto National Forest for the past 5 seasons. The US Forest service has very liberal generator hours 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.. We cannot control the type of generator, but we do enforce the rule violators. If they don't comply, we get LEO's (law enforcement officers) to remove them. We NEVER touch campers' equipment.

That seems like a smart policy. Like I said, I wouldn’t mess with someone else’s property except in a dire emergency (eg, fire, life-threatening situation, etc.), and then only if LEO/first-responders are not available in a timely manner.

This is a great forum, thanks for all the feedback and suggesions.
That sounds like a good choice. There are many very satisfied owners of that generator on this forum. Keeping weight manageable is always smart.

The Companion is $100 more for some reason. Both have Bluetooth. I use one to run my AC when needed or as backup to charge batteries. I do use a 20A-50A pigtail from the Honda to the AS when I use. With Li batteries now, did not use the Honda this year. Just sits in the back of my truck bed, when/if needed.
We have same setup, but I went with the Companion 2200 to eliminate one of the dog bones. We have 50 Amp GT. Works well, never smells since we are burning propane, can keep in back seat of my truck, if necessary, when not in use. Runs either AC. Easy Starts installed, of course. Would NEVER look back on my choice of this setup. Gets rid of gas can and the exhaust smell when not in use.

OF NOTE: this setup will run perfectly off the low pressure propane port at the front of the Airstream no problem. I have a friend with larger generator that will NOT run off that port. So if you go for bigger and heavier than a 2200, you can’t really do much more with it, and you have to disconnect one of your tanks hoses to connect up to your generator. Just keep in mind more trade offs you may not be aware of when selecting these things.

I've seen people say this before, but I don't understand it. I have a 20 amp to 50 amp adapter so just one.
