Brillant or boneheaded?

Saw a youtube video earlier today where a guy had taken a solar panel and mounted it with a piano hinge over the rear window. During camping its deployed like an awing. I like the idea, but I wonder how well it would ride.

My question: brilliant or boneheaded?

Not the best idea by far. Definitely boneheaded.

I wouldn't say boneheaded, maybe just TETO-headed.

I just fold 'em and in the Burb they go.👍

Yeah, I saw that a while back. It might be shaded frequently if you can't park in the exact right direction. Other than that, so what.

Well, it strikes me as interesting as it would allow smaller units to increase panel space.

Wouldn't it be better if they concentrated on getting the awning to operate more reliably?
