Best deal on a Honda EU2000i Companion?

I'm looking to buy a Honda EU2000I Companion and wanted to know where's the best place to buy a new one online? Anyone have a recommended vendor that had a great price and no-hassle purchase?

Thanks!

I think that Camping World had them on sale a few weeks ago. Might be worth paying a little extra somewhere like there if you need service or warranty work. If price and no hassle purchase is the goal than hard to beat Amazon.

Best price was when we purchased ours was at Murdoch's for $100 below their price on the shelf. It was about a week after we purchased the generator that a flyer was in the paper with $100 off. My wife called and they immediately took $1C off the price they charged us. I do not know if you can post a price, but it was $1K, less $1 plus tax.

At least there I saw it, no shipping and it works as nice as expected.

I ordered a non-companion version from Wise Sales (on the recommendation of a few folks on the Forum), Wise charged the credit card yet after nearly two months could not supply, and I had to raise a dispute via the credit card to get my money back. I ordered from Northern Tool at a cheaper price and it arrived in 4 days.

I would check with Mayberrys.com in NJ. Great Price, free shipping and great customer service.
I was very satisfied with my purchase of two Honda Eu200i

I believe Honda controls the selling price of their products, much like Weber Grills. The companion is $1099 regardless of where you buy it......but......buying online you will find free shipping & no sales tax. Google Honda Companion & it's there!

Thanks for the heads up on this. I purchased the parallel combo with free shipping, no tax, and free parallel cables with RV adapter. Great price too! I will let you know how everything arrives when I get in a few days.

This is true.
Camping World's so-called club price is the same.
The price is the same ($1,099) at our local John Deere/Stihl dealership- no ordering, waiting, or driving to another town-
Closest Camping World is 100 miles away. Nothing is a bargain at Camping World. The Camping World so-called sale price is what the products cost at regular price elsewhere.
The only thing I ever purchased at a Camping World (Chattanooga, TN) is my satellite dish antenna on clearance for $100.

We bought a matched pair at Camping World back in 2007 when we went to the Fiddler's Convention in Galax Virginia...a really great event!!!!
Only negative about this pair is that the connecting wires are BOTH orange and VERY finely stamped L and R....and as usual, the instructions did not emphasize the markings.
I don't know what would happen if they were connected incorrectly.
(maybe someone can comment on this????)

Also....does anyone know how to determine that , when connected together, the two are putting out the published amperage?

I am not sure the 3K will handle the AC as well as other things - you may end up popping circuits. I went back and forth between the pair and the single. I figure that I can also use one of the 2000's by itself when I am not running AC or when needing light power on my property to run power tools and the such.

Got my pair of 2000is from Maxtool a few months ago. There was someplace that was cheaper by $20 but only used PayPal. Max took my MasterCard (on which I get a rebate) and had a cover for each plus the genuine Honda parallel kit and three extension cords. Shipped fast arrived in good shape, I used them last night in Yellowstone! Happy camper...

I went round & round over which unit to purchase. I ended up getting a Honda 3000 handi from a dealer in Delaware ( no sales tax ) at a competitively fair price. Haven't had the need to use it with the AC yet so don't know how it will do with other things in use along with AC.

I purchased a pair of EU2000 from Electric Generators Direct and the price was good and the (free) delivery was very fast. Shop around online and I don't think you can go wrong as long as you pay with a credit card.

They have worked very well with our 27FB with a single AC unit. I like them because 1) they are made by Honda and 2) I can lift two generators (individually, of course), put them in the back of my TW and run the AC units in our AS.

Bought mine at Camping World when a storm was coming. If I was doing it again and not watching the winds offshore, I would get them from Wise.

Did you notice that you get the parallel cables and RV adapter for free?
