just took delivery of our 2019 International Serenity 30 RBT. It has 2 a/c and of course the 50amp "python" plug. We hooked up the unit to our predator 3500 invertor/generator using the 50amp to 30 amp adaptor plug to run one of the a/c's while stocking the new trailer, after about 5 min the a/c shut off in the trailer but the gen kept running.
I've run a/c in my other trailer with this same genny but it is a single unit that only draws 30 amps.
since I'm new to airstream... am I doing something wrong with the controller?
I selected zone 2 (which is the galley/kitchen etc a/c unit and set it to cool at 70 degrees, it was working fine, then it just stopped. I checked the genny and nothing was blown.. so I unplug the plug from the trailer to the genny and restart.. go back in the trailer, and it restarts, runs about 3 min and stops again..
Look for extra loads like the water heater electric element and the fridge on "auto". Those, in addition to the air conditioner, can overload the generator, causing it to drop the load. The generator will continue running, but not put out any electricity.
Were you allowed to back the new trailer into the driveway, or did Terry do it?
