I wonder. Does the 2018 model Dometic AC already has the Easystart, or similar, from the factory? Maybe it just works at sea level and will not work at altitude?

My generator is a few years old, but it had been used only lightly.
My 25FB Dometic AC failed to start with a Honda 2000i generator; but was successful with the Honda 2000i and 2000i companion in parallel operations. My Easy Start install took me just over 3 hrs and starts now with the Honda 2000i. 😊😊😊

Easy Start was definitely worth the effort and money. It should also prolong the life of the AC.

That’s a solid recommendation!

Thanks for sharing that.

Dave, if youre referring to the Easy Start, the price direct from Micro-air is $299.
EasyStart

BTW, Honda just upped the 2000i to a 2200i, which I would expect to handle the load just fine.

Thank you, that was a great video. That was a coleman AC, i believe. Anyone have knowledge as to how the wiring differs on our Dometic AC and it is as easy as the video shows it? Also, I would like to install this on one of the two units I have in 27FB. Any opinions as to which of the two units would be preferable. Thanks for any replies.

15,000BTU AC, Honda 2000I, NO Easystart?

Here is the install guide for the penguin II AC unit.....

http://microair.net/main/products/ma...Penguin_II.pdf

I’ve done the install 3 times. It’s not hard.

That was agreat video. Thanks. Since that was a coleman, is there any video or instruction on our dometic units? Is wiring the same? Also, I want to put one of these in my 27FB, it has two ac's. Any opinions as to where it would best to place, LR or BR? Thanks for any replies.

I just had 1 installed. How long can I reasonable expect one to last camping 30-45 days a year in various conditions. Just trying to get a feel for the reliability of the Easy Start.

It’s a circuit board combined with a standard capacitor. Should last 10+ years. Worst cast the capacitor goes bad and you can replace that part for $30 or so
