Wiring LED pod lights

Hello all. I am currently renovating a 1978 sovereign. I am in the process of designing and installing electrical components, as the rig had no OEM wiring remaining when I bought it.

I have a question regarding recessed LED dome lights. I would like to have a row on each side of the center line of the ceiling about once every 4 feet, each side with its own switch so I could control which side is on.

My question is, if I wished to have a switch operating a string of 6 lights, are these lights typically wired in series to the switch? In other words, would the correct route be as follows:

power source -- distribution panel -- switch -- light -- light -- light..... --- ground?

These are the lights I will be going with.

Thanks!

If your lights are listed as 12volt DC, they should not be wired in series. Bring the positive wire through the switch, and branch it to all the lights. the lights are all individually connected to Ground.
if you wire the lights in series, they will get dimmer as you add more until they stop working.

in certain cases like christmas lights, they use the lights in series to drop the voltage to each individual bulb, but in the case of a fixture rated for 12 volts, all of that happens internal to the individual light fixture.

It's done. I mean mostly. It works anyway.
