Why does my electrical seem like its surging

Just brought her home yesterday, a 1968 Globetrotter. When I plug her into 110, the interior lights go bright for a while then they dim noticeably. What is the problem and what can I do to correct?

Thank you.

Hi, my guess is that the converter is kicking on and off while trying to recharge weak batteries. Slightly brighter when kicked on. If big difference in brightness I would guess that the batteries are quite weak or bad.
