I recently replaced a couple of the aft clearance lights on our Sovereign. I used amber colored lights since this is what was there when I assumed ownership of her. A few days later I notice that most of the trailers in the RV park have red clearance lights on the back of the trailers. Which is correct? Does it make any difference, or should I change the aft lights to red?

Cool, thanks all for the quick replies. I'll just buy some red complete fixtures and try and trade out the lenses, since many of mine need completely replacing (with LEDs) anyway.

i think that federal regs dictate that yellow is in front of the axles and red goes behind the axles to indicate the direction of travel when viewed from the side. i'm not positive but it is worth checking.
