What is this switch?

Does anyone know what this switch is for? It’s located in front next to window. If you flick it one way a red light comes on and the other way a green light come on.Click image for larger version

probably to turn the charger off if you find it noisy at night.

Knowing what year and model it's in might be helpful in answering your question.

From the location you described, it might be the switch that shuts off the converter (or just disconnects it from the batteries?) when plugged into shore power. That was a feature of some of the longer trailers in the 70s and 80s (and possibly longer) to help prevent overcharging the batteries. I don't remember seeing one with lights, but I've never had one in a trailer I owned so it's just a guess. From the look of the switch plate, it may be a Previous Owner Special Project.

My guess is a on/off switch for the power converter. Plug a little volt meter into a 12 volt outlet and check what happens when you flip the switch. My 1988 model has a regular 110 switch mounted behind to sofa for the power converter. I keep a cheap 12 volt volt meter plugged in all the time to keep check on the level of the battery charge.
