Warm white patio/porch/scare light

Has anyone replaced their cold "daylight white" LED light with something warmer? I contacted the manufacturer about alternative colors options but they only make the one version:
http://dg-usa.com/product-catalog/#!...ight/p/4676481

Thanks!
Thomas

Some people have had success with using photographic gel sheets cut to fit the LED light lens.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, the outside light can't be taken apart in order to insert a gel filter, so the only option is to replace it.

What model rig are you looking to replace the light on, thomasj?

Maybe someone has a a part from a scrapped rig who would sell it to you.

I have a different query.
That so called "scare light" shines right into your neighbour's bedroom.
(Who was the 'Airhead" at AS who thought of that one???)
So does anyone know of a light assy. That shines DOWN onto the patio, like NORMAL RVs have?
One that would fit into the hole?

I always thought it was called a scare light to scare creature away from your rig in the middle of the night. 🤓

Warm white patio/porch/scare light

The "scare light" is perfect if you are off the grid & want to find your way back to your Airstream.

But you can't use it in a 'slotted' campground, where you can look in other people's windows and they in yours.
How would YOU like to have YOUR bedroom lit up my 'Scare' light?

Your trailer doesn't have the 2-way switch that selects either that bright scare light or a smaller light right by the steps?

I'm not sure if your question was directed toward me but my trailer has the step light and the scare light on two separate switches. The two switches are within the same switch plate but they are separate.

Uh-huh.
It is the same switch- either/or- on my trailer.
Scare light OR step light-
There is no way to have both on my trailer.

Now, now, now ... was that really called for? And are you making fun of me???

Sorry OP ... I don't have anything of value to add ... I just couldn't help myself.

Rich

Well THAT little thing is kinds a joke, isn't it!
I did see an International at CanAm that had a 'porch light' over the door, and I wanted one too, when I ordered my FC. Didn't get it.
And yes, I do have two switches for both on.
Perhaps I'll put an aftermarket LED light over the door.

Sometimes I wonder what the Airstream Engineers are drinking; 'cause I want some too. I can use the 'jollies'.
