Warm vs Bright White LEDs
Follow up question to my question the other day.
Are the existing interior LED lights considered warm or bright white? I'm guessing bright white, but not totally sure.

I have a 2015 FC 25 RB twin and my interior lights are definitely "bright" white. Several years ago (not sure which model year) the factory switched over, and new trailers now come with "Warm" white. Personally, I wish I had the "warm" tone

In my 2012, the overheads are bright white and the sconces are warm white. The warm white are best for mood lighting, but I like bright white to see things. I have not been motivated to make any changes...which is saying something.

I bought the precut filters and installed them everywhere but the bathroom, shower, and under the sink cabinets. I used 2 filters in each fixture.
I used a plastic knife, one that you'd get for going on a picnic, to pry the lenses loose on the lights, rather easy to do.

My 2017 has the bright LEDs. In the evening, I dim the cabin lights as low as they will go, and turn on the lights above the table, vent-a-hood, counter, etc. I find the combo is pleasing on the eyes.

Now I know how to pop out those LED light covers.
I looked into this before and discovered the theater gels come in a bewildering array. I wish he had given some guidance on what gel he used.

mattRox - thanks for link, very helpful!
How "warm" you want it is a personal preference. I like the idea of warming it up a little without turning it orange. What color shades are you all using? Did you try one then switch to another?

Where did you find the precut gels and what’s a good color choice?

The link is in the comments of the youtube video posted above.
Not sure what color/combination would suit an individual's taste, but I figured for us, for $20, we'd try 'em.
We haven't camped yet with 'em installed, so I'll have to refrain from commenting as to whether we'll stick with 2 layers, go back to one layer, or remove them all together.
In comparing to the coach lights in our unit, on either sidewall of the couch, the color of the lighting with a double layer of the lenses is close to them but not exact.
For certain, it subdues the bright white lighting.

I purchased filters as MajorAirhead mentioned earlier and will be installing them before our trip in February. I like that you can "stack" them to suit your preference. My partner definitely doesn't like the coldness of the bright white LED lights. We prefer a warmer, softer light.
These are the ones I'll be using...

Good morning majorairhead!! Your suggestion and the link is exactly what I was looking for. The photos in link really clarified what the difference is between having blue or warm light. I ordered them. I love that they're pre-cut. Love this forum, many thanks.

Great idea. I would have used this if I knew about it. I ended up using some wood stain that I had on hand. I applied it to the frosted side of the glass and installed that side inward. Worked great! I used a light pine. Add a second coat if you want it a darker. Also, works on lenses that are not flat.

I still like the factory installed fixtures for the "warm" tone purity, but these filters are certainly an improvement for us. Note I also placed them in the under cabinet lamps I have at the dining table, and over the kitchen sink. Used basic clear scotch tape to secure them.

I got the pre-cut gels and installed a few last night.
E-Z! The lights' lenses just pop out with a little bit of encouragement. A bit fussy putting them back, but no great trick, just need to line everything up.
Looks great. Cuts down the surgery-ward appearance, to my eyes. Now awaiting management's approval.
