Vintage Look for Ugly LED Tail Lights
As most know, the tail light canisters, which have a propensity to rust out, are no longer available. I was able to recently salvage my tail light canisters but not my reverse light canisters. Good thing, too, since I really like the Fiber Optic front viewer for the tail lights. I couldn't find an ample replacement canister for the reverse lights, so I decided to buy the new LED lights. They are butt ugly but I found a simple solution to dress them up. See pics. I simply gorilla glued a brand new vintage style lens over the new LED light assembly. Looks vintage but is LED bright. Of course, this can be done for the tail lights if you opt to by tail light LEDs but you lose the fiber optic capability favored by the vintage Airstream crowd.
