Trailer Lights for Night Parking

Hi all,

I added 4 LED lights to help with backing and setting up or taking down a campsite.
2 facing back in the rear bumper are a flush mount style and 1 each facing to the side and slightly forward.
I control each light with a rocker switch I mounted in the bumper storage compartment.
The lights are Rigid brand, very bright, pull very little power and super useful. Installation was straightforward.
Last year I towed over 20K miles through all types of conditions and I had no trouble with the lights. From time to time I had to wipe off road film but that was it.

As many said a few portable battery operateds may would provide for multiple uses plus without piercing the holy skin.

We however did “the pierce” crafting a 24/7 wireless switch /LED bar operated from TV, master bed or anywhere within 150ft without need for a TV reverse condition. Wires through to the nearest storage hatch inner light.

I was in Home Depot just after Xmas and they had these inexpensive fold up battery lights. I bought two to give me some extra help. I figure I'll use them at the back corner of the pad. Haven't done it yet, and it might well eclipse out my camera lights.

Very nice! I see you have a 25FC FB like ours, though a few years newer than our 2013. Where did you tap into power for those bumper lights?

I ran a power & neg. wire from the battery box by placing it in plastic wire wrap. I tucked and zip tied it to existing places along the frame. I drilled a hole in the backside of the bumper compartment.

Thanks Scott! Was the wire loom/wrap visible once installed along the bottom? I didn’t see much in the way of places to tuck it away with the various panels there

I did just install some much brighter reverse lights in the F250–should help w seeing the angle of the trailer through the tinted rear window and tinted canopy windows!
