Thin-Lite replacement lens

Recently, the diffuser (lens) cracked in the Thin-Lite fluorescent light over the kitchen sink in our 2003 25’ Classic. Since the lens only partially split, it still fit in the fixture, but would fall out during travel. We considered replacing the light fixture; however, the cost was about $45 at Camping World. In addition, when searching the internet, we found that most of the replacement lenses had wood trim, which our lights do not have. The part number listed on the fixture itself (after removing it from the cabinet) is P112-NT.

We found an excellent source for the replacement lens, and received the correct part at a reasonable cost ($6.50) in 3 days (via Priority Mail). Since we called in the order, the invoice included a $0.25 discount for the phone call! Here are the details:

John Drake Services, Inc.
1427 East 68th Street
Long Beach, CA 90805-1608
solarseller.com alternative energy by John Drake Services, Inc.
voice 562-423-4879 (fax 562-728-9941)

Interestingly, the very helpful and knowledgeable individual who answered the phone was John Drake himself. He did explain that Airstream had ordered a special version of these lights. The “P” in the part number above refers to the fact that these lights suppress RF interference, and the “NT” means no trim.

Cool! It's always nice to support the businesses that have a hands-on, friendly and helpful approach - thanks for sharing the resource!

Thanks for the info. I, too, have been astounded by the price of Thin-Lite parts at most places. I have several cracked diffusers.
