Taillight Canister replacement '72 Overlander

Hi All-

Purchased replacement taillight canisters from Vintage Trailer. The fit is very tight, so a little grinding is needed.

Has anyone done this?
Is it easier to grind down the part or the cavity in the AS?

TIA

The new canister looked too good to grind on. I ground on the housing. But I must admit, on my '70, it didn't take too much grinding. I was replacing the backup light housing, though I don't think it would matter which one I was replacing.

They came back in stock and I was notified of the restocking and immediately ordered. I would recommend using the "send me an email when they are back in stock" option. I was doubtful if it would actually do anything, but VTS does indeed send the email. Good luck!
